Overall, it is a nice jacket.
Pros
- I like how light and compact it is, and with the included storage bag, it easily fits into a backpack for traveling.
- The sizing was good, I am 6'2, 210lbs, and have wide shoulders. The XL fits just right.
- Jacket is really warm, especially considering how thin and lightweight it is. Can easily handle temperatures just below freezing for a reasonable
amount of time outside.
- The look and cut of the jacket is nice
- Good value for the price

Cons
- The jacket has already had several feathers come in various seams. Enough to make me wonder how much will be left by next winter if they keep
coming out at the same rate
- Cuffs on the sleeves could be a little tighter as they will ride up your shirt/sweater sleeves

Great jacket, I'm happy with it. I wish the front pockets were larger but they are adequate. I'm 6' 195lbs 46" chest - I ordered a large because x-lg jackets seem a bit oversized on me and other's reviews indicate these Carhartts run large. The lg. fits me nicely but I don't have the longer arms that most 6 footers have. I was told by Carhartt's chat on their website that this jacket with it's firmhand duck is not expected to shrink more than 2-4% if directions for washing are followed. So I might regret getting the large as it can't afford to shrink on me arm length wise. Maybe I'll try washing it in cold water instead of warm and dry it on gentle instead of medium.

I am one of those sick New Englander's who like it cold, just not too cold. This fleece is good most of the winter with just a t-shirt under it most days, but on the bitter cold days it is sleek enough to fit under a heavier coat and add the extra layer. I have 3 of these now on my coat rack.
